I’ll Be Right Back

I’m leaving on a jet plane, but I do know when I’ll be back again.

Ok, sorry for the silly song this morning, but I’m in a great mood!  This afternoon I’m flying to Akron OH to shoot a wedding with my friends and fellow photographers Steph and Shan Smith of 831 Photography.  I love Friday weddings!  Saturday, we are meeting up with a couple other photographers in the Cleveland area for breakfast, then I am flying back into Moline to take a dear friend out for dinner for her birthday.  Then Sunday morning I am getting up bright and early for a lifestyle portrait session with one of my favorite clients, little miss Riley Roo.  She’s a doll, folks, and I love seeing her!

If it takes me a little longer to reply to email, don’t worry, I’ll get back to you as soon as I have access to the internet!

Caio!

Home from Mexico!

I’m exhausted, and don’t have a lot of energy, but wanted to share just a few shots from Mexico.  I will post more later, once I’ve gone through and sorted them out.

I also want to extend a special thank you to Jose Villa, Jesh deRox, and Dennis Orchard for the life-changing experience that the past week was.  These three individuals are amazing photographers and amazing friends, and I can’t thank them enough for everything they’ve given me in the last few days.

Hola from Mexico!

Just a quick hola a mis amigos from Mexico!

Not much time to write, just wanted to share a quick pic of me in the little pueblo that we shot in yesterday.  Beautiful town with beautiful people.  Thanks to my new, beautiful friend, Karina Puente, for taking this.

I leave for the airport tomorrow morning at 3:00 a.m., and should be back in Iowa in the late afternoon.  It has been an amazing, life-changing trip, and though I wish I could stay longer, I am excited to be coming home to try out some of the new ideas I have.

Adios ahora mismo!

Where In The World Is Wendi?

Just an update for my clients, and potential clients!

I am leaving Friday night (11.9.07) for Mexico, and will be out of the country until next Friday (11.16.07).  My US Cellular phone (309-333-0618) will not work in the part of Mexico I will be in.  I have another phone that I can be reached on by family only while I am out of the country, but I will be available by email at contact@inspiredimagesbywendi.com on a limited basis.  I will try to respond to email as often as possible!

While I am gone, there will be a slight delay in order and album processing.  Print orders placed before 11.1.07, will be shipped before I leave on Friday.  Print orders placed after 11.1.07 may see a delay in delivery until the week of 11.20.07.  If we haven’t discussed final details of your album, such as the cover and size, please contact me the week after I return.  Depending on the album you choose, it may not be possible to get it in before Christmas, but I’ll do my best.

Keep an eye on the blog over the next few weeks for more images from all of the workshops and shootouts I’ve been doing these last few weeks!  This is the time of year I dig into continuing my education and growth as a photographer, and strive to go out and be the best that I can be!  It is not only me, but you, as my clients and friends, that benefit from this, and I thank you all for your support!

I’ll update you all when I get home, or maybe sooner, depending on how the internet connection is down there!

Iowa City – Finally!

It has taken some time, but I am finally getting around to posting about my day of shooting in Iowa City!  I met up with fellow photographers Roxanne Bappe, Amanda Williams, and Steph P and her twin sister (very confusing telling them apart) for a day of shooting!  Here are a few of the beautiful people that we “shot”!

.

We also randomly ran into West Branch photographer Samantha Bender and her family, and took a few family pictures of them.  Sam, you have got to get the ShootSac!  And I’ll let you know how Mexico goes! :)

Trash The Dress – Macomb Style!

Back in September, I ventured back to my old stomping grounds, and Trashed Macomb!  My good friend Rach modeled in a gorgeous gown and got down and dirty for a fun session, Trash The Dress style!  This exciting trend in photography isn’t about ruining your gown, but about having a little fun and creating beautiful images in something that may otherwise not be used after the wedding, something that is often the most important piece of the wedding day to the bride.

In the last few months, I’ve done several of these sessions all over the midwest, in Illinois, Iowa, St. Louis, and Ohio, and have created amazing memories and images for the brides I’ve done them with.  If you are interested in a session yourself, contact me for pricing.  Many of my wedding packages already include a post-wedding portrait session with your new husband, and if I didn’t shoot your wedding, we can still get together to create some beautiful memories!
