It really seems like just yesterday that I was hobbling around, shooting weddings with a big belly, waiting patiently for the baby to arrive. Now Maddox is 5 1/2 months old, sitting up, chattering away! Here are a few from the last couple of months that I wanted to share. I guess I need to post more of him, or at least that is the message that came through in a couple Christmas cards we received!
There are all just snapshots, so ignore any inconsistencies!
A few nights ago after his bath:

Go Cowboys! I think I’ll eat this football…

Yes, let the dog have it, this cereal stuff is icky!!

Happy baby! He loves his toes!!

One last post before I head to bed tonight. Back at the end of October, after a day of solid shooting during our photography shootout, my dear photographer friends teamed up to create a family photo for us! It took three photographers, a model (thank you Kristen for sticking around!), and the two of us to corral the dogs and get two good shots out of about a dozen, but it was worth it!
A big thank you to the woman behind the camera, Donielle DeCow of Creations with Grace Photography, all the way from McCune, KS. This hangs proudly in our foyer and went out on our Christmas cards!

Savannah is so beautiful pregnant! She is actually due any day, and I can’t wait to meet her sweet little boy!

A few weeks ago, I posted Jenna & Matt’s maternity session, and it was during another maternity session that I received the call that she was in labor. They had just arrived at the hospital, and figuring we had a few hours to go, I finished out my session and headed home. I had barely walked through the door when Matt called, saying Jenna was progressing quickly, so I turned around and headed right back out the door, calling out love to my own husband and baby as I left.
About 3 hours after she arrived at the hospital, and just a couple minutes after I arrived, Baby L made his appearance!

Mommy hearing Baby L cry for the first time!

And wow, can this boy cry!

Baby L is a big boy! Yes, 9 lbs 10 oz!

I love those little footprints!

Jenna, you are amazing! Thank you for letting me be a part of such an incredible experience. Congrats on your beautiful baby boy. I can’t wait to watch him grow up!

Before Baby L headed home, I had to go wish the family luck. New life is so amazing!

A newborn photo of Baby L’s big brother was pulled out, and it was amazing how much they look alike!

Baby R entered the world late on a Sunday night loudly! For something so little, she has some very strong lungs and a very loud cry! I waited anxiously in the waiting room with her family and excitedly hurried down in time to capture those first few precious moments of new life.

Daddy was smitten with her right away!

Big sis had to check her out. She approved!

So itty bitty!

I went back to visit them in the hospital before they headed home, once all the initial excitement had died down, to spend a little more time with them capturing their daughter’s newness.
Look at this beautiful, thick, long hair!

Smiling for mommy!
